Sunset help

I finished piecing the top of my sunset piece yesterday and I'm not in love with it.  Something seems off...maybe the light colors and the dark colors don't mix well enough??


I could add a few more rows to mix them more.  I'm not completely sure of the best way to do that though.  Any thoughts?

    I always find that neutrals help. Maybe some white or gray?

    On my recent long train ride i was pondering how to get sunset into quilts. That brilliant light behind the reds and oranges. Sorry I don't have answers to getting the light effect, but will be working on it. In your piece I feel a need for a horizon for the sun to be setting behind.
