Quilted: old black quilt

A friend of my step mother had some old quilts that needed quilting.  She didn't need them quickly, so I was happy to work on them.

The first one was a black triangles with colored stripes.  It was foundation pieced and the back fabric remained on the block, which I've never seen before.

Some of the black triangles were shredding!  I ended up appliqueing six triangles over the current triangles because it looked terrible otherwise.

I did a quilting pattern of a loop with black thread.  It was a pretty simple design, but the quilt was pretty busy so I wanted something simple.
