Blog Hop Party

I'm joining today with many other bloggers in a giveaway blog hop. Thanks to Michelle for organizing it, and to see the other blogs you can go here!

Here are some of the things that I've been up to lately:
Clockwise from upper left: map quilt, Adding up nicely, Sarah's quilt, Grandma's quilt,
Interlocked Hearts, Duvet, in-process HSTs.

And on to the giveaway...I have a charm pack of Kona dark solids to give away.  Ahh.  I love solids.
There are two ways to enter.  1) Leave a comment.  Any comment will do, but if you would like a topic how about the color that you find yourself working with the least. 2) Follow, or become a follower, of my blog.  Please leave a second comment.  I will choose the winner on the 15th of March.

    Cool giveaway!! I do love using charm squares!! For me it is yellow - I am not a fan of it really so it rarely appears in my sewing.

    I never seem to go with bright yellow.
    Baby yellow is fine though.

    I don't use many purples in my quilts. I like the color purple but it seems that it always gets skipped when I am designing quilts.

    I don't seem to use much yellow in my quilting, I am not sure why because I like yellow maybe I should do a yellow quilt.

    I find that I'm not a big purple person. I find that I put alot of natural colors in my quilts like tans and beige

    I have a hard time working with purple. Not because I don't like it, but because I don't seem to have any of it in my stash. I'm a little picky about purple, because I'm not a fan of pastel colors...

    I think purple is probably my least worked with color or maybe brown. But, I totally go in phases and color use ebbs and flows with my mood.

    Orange is my least favorite-was a PSA stew back in the late 60's and had to wear hot orange petit pants with ruffles along with orange shoes, hat and lipstick. Also, because of the time we had an Armstong orange plaid linoleum installed in our new house-and then, if that wasn't enough orange I worked for a school whose colors were "vibrant orange and sparkling white".     Least used colour? Orange! Just before Christmas I needed a small piece of orange fabric for a snowman's carrotty nose. There was not a single piece of orange fabric in my very large stash! I had to phone a friend who sent me a 2" by 3" piece!

    Grey. Last year grey seemed to be the in color for backgrounds, sashings, and/or borders. They called them modern quilts. No way. Give me bright colors any day! Great giveaway - thanks for the chance.

    Brown. My stash of browns is pitiful though. Maybe if I owned some beauties I would use the colour more. Love the beautiful solids you're giving away.

    I usually find myself working least with white....so I bought several yards of 100% cotton broadcloth so I would be compelled to use it.
