Happy Mother's Day! You may recall that last year I posted about a quilt that my mom had made. That sparked some discussion in our family as my dad thought she had more than one quilt, but my brother and I could only remember that one. Some digging was done and one more quilt was found...made by my great grandmother for my mother.
It has a bunch of dresses with hats and umbrellas.
While this isn't something that is really too my taste, I find it really cool that it's been around so long. (Well, not super long. We estimated the date around 1963ish.) And it looks as though it was well used...there were some stains and a rip on the back.
If only quilts could talk.
