white cloth?

I'm getting close to having the cross quilt complete.  I had been planning on having a while cloth quilted around the cross.  But...the end result was different than I was expecting.  I don't like it as much and am thinking of picking it out.  However, I thought I'd see if there were any opinions first.

It is kind of hard to see on the front, especially on the light squares.  Not being able to easily see the full design is one of reasons I don't like it.  There are also a lot of tails because the thread kept breaking.

I think it looks ok on the back, but not great.

Note: there is a poll below, but I don't know how it will show up on assorted platforms.

Should I keep the white quilted cloth?

    Something has to be really awful for me to rip it out (or to suggest ripping). "Not like what I had in mind" is never reason enough. No one else knows what you had in mind.
