I don't use many purples in my quilts. I like the color purple but it seems that it always gets skipped when I am designing quilts.

ReplyDeleteI have a hard time working with purple. Not because I don't like it, but because I don't seem to have any of it in my stash. I'm a little picky about purple, because I'm not a fan of pastel colors...

I think purple is probably my least worked with color or maybe brown. But, I totally go in phases and color use ebbs and flows with my mood.

I seldom use purple but try to keep some of it in my stash because every once in a while a pop of purple is just what a quilt needs.

ReplyDeleteOrange is my least favorite-was a PSA stew back in the late 60's and had to wear hot orange petit pants with ruffles along with orange shoes, hat and lipstick. Also, because of the time we had an Armstong orange plaid linoleum installed in our new house-and then, if that wasn't enough orange I worked for a school whose colors were "vibrant orange and sparkling white". ReplyDeleteLeast used colour? Orange! Just before Christmas I needed a small piece of orange fabric for a snowman's carrotty nose. There was not a single piece of orange fabric in my very large stash! I had to phone a friend who sent me a 2" by 3" piece!
